Extend reads the frame your clip ends on and animates a continuation from it on the matching image-to-video model, so the next clip picks up exactly where the last one stopped. How long can a video be extended?
As far as you keep going. Each extension is a fresh clip of the model's own maximum length that starts from the previous one's final frame, so the sequence has no fixed ceiling - the per-clip cap stops applying once the clips are chained.
Can I extend a video I did not generate here?
Yes. Upload it and it extends like any clip from your library, starting from its last frame.
Do the clips come back as one file?
No - each extension is its own clip, which is what lets you re-render just the part you are not happy with. Add them to the Movie Editor timeline to export the whole sequence as one video.
